Multiple new data-as-a-service platforms

Highlights

  • Diverse team of data BAs, delivery managers and architects
  • Ingest and transform 90 data feeds across 6 functional domains into a single location
  • Developed a one-stop-shop for end-users to discover, shop and access

Overview

Navigating the client lifecycle can be difficult with data sitting across multiple databases across systems, geographies, and product lines. Therefore, there was a need to orchestrate and build a one-stop-shop platform which would provide a unified view of customers by aggregating all structured and unstructured data from inside and outside the organization.

A team of domain and data governance specialists, product managers, delivery managers and technical squads built multiple new data-as-a-service platforms for a MVP data asset to help our banking client with their data transformation requirement.

Through this platform, the unified data platforms provided targeted recommendations to the client’s front-line and improved client sales and engagement.

Our Process

Creating a data analytics store to provide a unified view of customer data by aggregating and transforming all structured and unstructured data from inside and outside the client organization, all in one place.

Workshop

The first step was understanding the modern data platform architecture best practices. Then identifying an enterprise target data architecture that fits with the legacy infrastructure and enterprise requirements around cloud and technology and defining a multi-year roadmap.

Discovery

Navigating client lifecycles can be challenging and requests from business users for information from a data division are rarely straightforward. Hence, identifying, sourcing, and stitching the data together with a data façade that shielded the source complexity was a major client objective. Creating a self-service UI enables a more digital and efficient workflow.

Delivery Process

We assembled a diverse team to build the MVP data asset. We successfully pulled 90 internal & external data sets across 6 functional domains into a single platform to enable customer lifecycle across the client organization and developed a one-stop-shop for end-users to access all insights and information needed globally.

What We Delivered

We delivered a unified source of information, where users could discover, shop, and have timely, cost-effective data controls across all domains. Our platform delivered a predictable service level and improved data quality with reduced time to market for analytics use cases, helping our client build greater customer insights.

A unified view of customers is helpful to banks as it allows them to build greater customer insight and improve client engagement. Our team of experts worked across multiple new data-as-a-service platforms, presenting a holistic view of the client lifecycle to our client.

I have been working with Synechron for the last two years as one of my strategic partners. During this time, I have found them to be excellent; being flexible and having a strong talent pool has enabled me to start items of work rapidly and complete them effectively. They look after their staff, having a lower turnover than other India-based vendors I deal with, creating much greater stability when building product knowledge and those all-important team relationships.
