CSR Policy

OBJECTIVE

As a responsible corporate citizen, Synechron Technologies Private Limited (“Company”) takes pride in being socially inclined and focuses on sustained and effective Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) projects. The Company believes that CSR is the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of the local community and society at large. The core areas that the Company supports are empowerment, education and eradication of poverty.

The core areas that the Company supports are:

• Eradication of Poverty
• Empowerment of women
• Providing education to underprivileged children and indulge in livelihood enhancement projects
• Environmental Issues.
• Rural Development
• Disaster Management

Our employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and skills and enjoy the experience of giving back to the communities in which they work. The CSR policy aligns with the philosophy of CARE FOR CSR, which means working together for common good.

EFFECTIVE DATE

This policy will be effective from April 1,2014.

PRINCIPLES

The Company, in its continuous efforts to positively impact the society in its journey of growth, has formulated policies for social development that are based on the following guiding principles:

• Adopt an approach that aims at achieving a greater balance between social development and economic development.
• Adopt new measures to accelerate and ensure the basic needs of all people.
• Work towards elimination of all barriers for the social inclusion of disadvantaged groups- such as the poor and the disabled.

“CARE FOR CSR” CONTINUES TO BE INVOLVED IN ACTIVITIES LIKE

• Eradication of Poverty:

The Company organizes various events/drives like food grain collection, old clothes collection and other similar activities.  The Company provides opportunity to various NGOs to exhibit and sell their products at stalls put up in the Company premises. The Company plans to contribute to NGOs engaged in eradicating hunger, poverty and malnutrition, (“promoting health care including preventive health care”) and sanitation programmes.

• Empowerment of Destitute Women:

The main objective of the Company for this project is to provide support and help to the destitute women to live with dignity and earn a livelihood. The Company partners with various NGOs to support destitute women. The Company offers monetary aid to support the destitute women in rural and other areas. Company provides aids like donation of clothes, food grains along with monetary help to destitute women for them to live with dignity and earn a livelihood.

• Providing education to underprivileged children:

The Company is associated with various Pune based non-government organizations (NGOs) like “Hope For The Children Foundation”, “Gram Prabodhini Vidyalaya” a high school in Salumbre village, Sanjeevini School for mentally challenged students and Bal Kalyan Sanstha, a local NGO in Pune and various educational institutions.

As part of the project, the Company’s objective of this educational project is to improve enrolment of children in the school and deliver quality education. This project includes establishment of a learning centre with education aids, toys, library in the school.

The Company is also supporting infrastructural development of the school like constructing toilets for children, installing ceiling fans in all classrooms and providing benches for the children. The Company also provides monetary as well as non-monetary contribution through such NGOs.

• Environmental Issues:

  Participate in tree plantation, keeping the neighbourhood clean. Creating awareness and importance of hygiene in the neighbourhood. Participating in Swachh Bharat activity in the neighbourhood.

• Miscellaneous activities:

Employee engagement activities are regularly organized at various schools, NGOs to support the three core areas, and build a personal connect between the employees and the community. In the past, activities like a Joy of Giving, Tree plantation, collection of books for the library between our employees and the school children, food grain collection, old clothes collection and other similar activities. have been organized. Regular visits by the officers and employees of the Company are also encouraged by the management. The Company also organizes Blood Donation camps in collaboration with various Blood Banks. The Company provides opportunity to various NGOs to exhibit and sell their products at stalls put up in the Company premises.

• Disaster Management, including relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction activities:

In case of any natural calamity Synechron make appeal to employees to raise funds and match the same amount from management side and extend the support in collaboration with NGO’s.

• To involve into rural development projects to provide better facilities in rural areas:

Synechron is taking a step ahead to extend support even in rural areas to support farmer community to bring them out from their debts resulting in no suicidal attempts by farmers. There are various ways Synechron is trying to support them like removal of boulders from their cultivating land, supplying quality seeds to farmers, supporting in selling their produce on better rates, educating them by providing with latest cultivating methods etc

• Take measures for reducing inequalities faced by socially and economically backward groups:

Equal opportunities are been supported by Synechron to all socially and economically backward groups, by no gender bias measures.

• Encourage the employment enhancing vocational ability and livelihood enhancement projects especially among children, women, elderly persons and the differently- abled persons:

It’s been followed and practicing that Synechron has empanelled with NGO’s in all it’s locations to encourage the women empowerment as one of the major core part, Children and other differently abled persons. Where those NGO’s will help them in sustain by their won. “Providing the training to the women in art and crafts, providing the free education and transportation to the needy children, extending the support to the differently abled people with necessary medical aid.

“CARE FOR CSR” WILL ENDEAVOUR TO ENGAGE IN THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES IN FUTURE

• Indulge into activities, to promote gender equality and empowering women.
• Set up new homes and hostels for women and orphans so as to provide better livelihood and also set up old age homes, day care centres and any other such facilities for senior citizens.
• Take measures for reducing inequalities faced by socially and economically backward groups.
• Realise duty towards environment by taking adequate measures to ensure environmental sustainability, ecological stability, protection of flora and fauna, animal welfare, agro forestry, conversation of natural resources and maintaining quality of soil, air and water.
• Encourage protection of national heritage, art and culture by conducting programs like restoration of buildings and sites of historical importance and works of art.
• Set up adequate facility for public libraries and also for promotion and development of traditional arts and handicrafts.
• Take satisfactory measures for the benefit of armed forces veterans, war widows and their dependents; [ Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Central Para Military Forces (CPMF) veterans, and their dependents including widows];
• Encourage people by providing training in rural sports, nationally recognised sports, Paralympics sports and Olympic sports
• Contribute to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund [or Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund)] or any other fund set up by the Central Government for socio-economic development and relief and welfare of the Schedule Caste, the Scheduled Tribes, other backward classes, minorities and women;
• Encourage contributions or funds and provide to technology incubators located within academic institutions which are approved by the Central Government.
