

Our customer, St Peter’s Girls’ School, wanted to challenge traditional perceptions of IT and showcase the breadth of modern careers in data and analytics. Many students associated technology with narrow, highly technical roles, limiting interest, especially among young women. The school needed a hands-on program demonstrating business understanding, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and visual storytelling, while giving students practical exposure to industry tools.
Synechron designed and facilitated an eight-week real-world analytics program for Year 11 business and enterprise students. Two student consulting teams worked through discovery, design and development, and implementation stages using relatable industries, real customer problems and sample datasets. Students analyzed data, elicited requirements, managed stakeholders, designed Power BI visualizations and presented final solutions. Synechron mentors supported them through consulting practice, documentation and delivery.
