Validation aligns Synechron's climate ambitions with the latest climate science and establishes a clear framework for reducing greenhouse gas emissions across its operations and value chain

NEW YORK; Sept. 22, 2026 – Synechron, a leading global digital transformation consulting firm, announced that its science-based emissions reduction targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a key milestone in the company's sustainability journey.

The validation confirms that Synechron's emissions reduction targets conform with the applicable SBTi criteria and are aligned with the latest climate science.

The targets are:

Net-Zero

Synechron commits to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by FY2050.

Near-Term

Synechron commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 88.5% by FY2035 from a FY2023 base year. Synechron also commits to reduce scope 3 GHG emissions 66.33% per USD value added within the same timeframe.

Long-Term

Synechron commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 90.0% by FY2050 from a FY2023 base year. Synechron also commits to reduce scope 3 GHG emissions 97.0% per USD value added within the same timeframe.

For Synechron, the validation establishes a clear pathway for reducing emissions across its operations and value chain while strengthening accountability and transparency in its sustainability efforts. The validation follows a rigorous review process in which the SBTi assesses whether a company's emissions reduction targets are in conformance with its applicable criteria. Synechron views climate action as an important aspect of building a resilient business and creating long-term value for its clients, employees, partners and communities.

“Sustainability is integral to how we create long-term value for our clients, employees and communities,” said Mihir Shah, president, Synechron. “The validation of our science-based targets reflects Synechron's commitment to responsible growth and reinforces our focus on building a more resilient future,”

Delivery of the targets will be governed through Synechron's Climate Transition Plan, which sets out the decarbonization levers, investment and interim milestones behind each commitment. Progress will be reported annually through Synechron’s annual sustainability report and Climate Transition Plan annual updates.

“SBTi validation is an important milestone, but the real work lies in execution. We are focused on integrating our targets into business operations, tracking progress rigorously and delivering measurable emissions reductions over time,” said Parul Vyas, head of corporate sustainability, Synechron.
