    A leading global financial markets organization identified growing demand for private markets indices covering private equity, private credit and real estate assets. Traditional index platforms were designed around public market data and were not equipped to support the unique requirements of private markets, including NAV-based calculations, multi-currency processing, historical performance modelling and complex data structures. The client needed a scalable solution capable of supporting a new generation of benchmark products within an accelerated delivery timeframe.

    The Solution

    Synechron designed and built a specialist platform to support the calculation and distribution of private markets indices. The solution enabled NAV-weighted calculations, FX rate processing across multiple currencies, historical performance generation and complex index modelling tailored to private market assets. Working within a compressed delivery schedule, the team delivered a production-ready platform that supported the launch of new private markets benchmark products and informed future platform evolution.
