Southern Cross Care, a residential care provider, needed to improve timeliness, accuracy and oversight of mandatory quality and safety reporting across 53 aged care sites in South Australia, The Northern Territory and Victoria. Reporting was previously manual, slow to update and prone to maintenance issues, making it difficult to identify emerging wellbeing or safety risks. Each site manager monitored KPIs independently, creating inconsistency and limited visibility across the organization.

Synechron delivered a unified Power BI reporting solution replicating each site’s manual quality and safety report within a single, secure analytics experience. The platform enabled anywhere access across devices and applied strong Power BI security, so users only saw the sites they were authorized to view. Microsoft user groups protected underlying data and reduced accidental report breakage. Optional alerts allowed staff to track KPI changes and quickly identify residents needing additional support. The solution created a strong foundation for future analytics expansion.
