    The Challenge

    Health service providers prepare for accreditation by using their own policies and procedures to check compliance against hundreds of criteria, often more than 600 per accreditation program. The analysis and evidence is then assessed by external evaluation organisations. Health services currently conduct the analysis manually, spending months reviewing lengthy documents to determine which criteria were met and what evidence was missing.

    The Solution

    Synechron built COVE, a multitenant SaaS platform powered by Anthropic’s Claude API. COVE extracts each standard's criteria, then assesses every criterion against the uploaded evidence as met, partially met or not met, with a rationale, the gaps and evidence quotes verified against the source and linked to page numbers. Accreditors review every result in the same platform.

    The Results

    First-pass gap analysis in less than 10 minutes. This pass maps more than 600 requirements to existing policies and produces a verdict: met, partially met or not met.

    It significantly improved the assessment quality compared to a human review. This enhanced control and consistency throughout the process.

    Full self-assessment can then continue from the draft by verifying results and adjusting where needed. This reduced self-assessment time from two to three months to two weeks.

    Delivered the role-based platform in four sprints: multi-tenancy, review workflows, RAG retrieval, billing and AWS production infrastructure.
