The Challenge

The asset management firm was using multiple B2B file transfer solutions. It sought a way to consolidate these into a single managed solution. The goal was to enable self-service, increase observability to determine the status of files, implement malware scanning, and increase encryption. Synechron was engaged for the consolidation project and to develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) using AWS Cloud-native services to demonstrate its business value.

The Solution

Synechron's solution was to develop an MVP demonstrating the value of a fully Cloud-native B2B file transfer solution that would effectively scan incoming files for malware using ClamAV, encrypt and decrypt files using PGP, and securely enable the asset manager to both push and pull files to and from third-party Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) servers, thereby ensuing SFTP servers are not exposed. Synechron also developed highly informative dashboards which central IT and critical business stakeholders can use for obtaining complete visibility of both incoming and outgoing files. To reduce the load for the core support team, Synechron further developed a self-service API for easy creation of B2B transfers.

Kick off

Synechron framed an agile scope with the bank that allowed for the prioritization and flexibility of requirements to be adjusted based on customer and business needs through a managed services delivery model.

Agile Design & Development

The program utilize the agile delivery model over a 9 month cycle, with 3 key releases to bring the journeys to market.

Discovery phase

A Discovery phase was undertaken to shape the product strategy per proposition, and to create an experience concept to validate the target customer journey.

Ongoing Development & Support

To date, Synechron continues to support the bank in production support and continuous improvement to optimise the customer experiences.
