Technical Project Manager

Our Challenge

You will be a part of a team of Technical Project Managers that closely collaborates across countries with Architects, Consultants and Developers from other business divisions at a global level to deploy digitalization initiatives across the business. You will also work on establishing effective governance and controls. You should have previous experience working in the financial services industry, and experience within the insurance sector is preferred.


  • Managing the project approach, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments and changes 
  • Supporting Technology teams to manage delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, resourcing, dependencies, communications, budget 
  • Working with the Technology Team and Product Owners to drive improvements in productivity through backlog management, maturity in the use of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean), and corresponding management of dependencies 
  • Providing management to maintain a focus on how the project aligns to wider program objectives, where appropriate, and to the change portfolio 
  • Managing, monitoring and reporting progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the program management, internal stakeholders and/or steering committees. Also, making recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization 
  • Enforcing process discipline and improvements in areas of expertise, such as disciplined agile software delivery, production support processes and continuous DevOps pipelines development 
  • Helping with the development and running of the program management office or project management practice 
  • Ensuring adherence to standard controls and driving teams to achieve compliance and framework, capability management, security controls and technology architecture designs 
  • Establishing effective governance and controls, in line with business transformation framework, and coordinating cross DevOps and Global Business/Global Functions delivery 


You are:

  • Equipped with 8+ years working in Financial Services, with solid domain knowledge within one or more financial services segments 
  • Equipped with at least 3 years’ experience in the Finance Industry, working in Digital or IT change management 
  • Experienced in business/technology or digital change, ideally across the end-to-end change lifecycle 
  • Knowledgeable in technology concepts like software development, cloud computing, data engineering, microservice architecture, etc. 
  • Equipped with a proven track record of delivering digital solutions across multiple domains in the financial services industry 
  • Experienced in working with combined on-, near- or offshore technology delivery teams 
  • Highly experienced in working in a high velocity project delivery environment 
  • Highly experienced in project management, especially in terms of maintaining & tracking plans, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies both front and back end 
  • Experienced with project financial management, project planning, resource management, RAID logs 
  • Highly understanding of Agile development practices and forums (e.g., Scrum, Sprint delivery, backlog management) 
  • Experienced in stakeholder management, particularly between PO, Business, Architects, Scrum Masters and other teams 

It would be great if you also had:
