Duties: Meet with technical and business teams and capture and analyze requirements to propose higher as well as lower-level ab-initio design; estimate various software development tasks (creating ab-initio graphs, plans & XFRs, etc.); contribute to technical ETL development as per desired functionality, including writing UNIX shell scripts to improve operational efficiency; develop, maintain and optimize code (index tuning wizard, SQL profiler, Windows Performance Monitor for monitoring and tuning MS SQL Server performance; implement new ETL functionality, coordinate with project engineers to ensure timely delivery of ETL code; maintain code standards and prepare runbooks for smooth sprint execution; build deployment using uDeploy; execute ETL jobs to ensure data consistency in-line with business requirements; create and schedule autosys jobs; write build scripts, define ETL package migration/release plan from lower to higher environment; coordinate with downstream and upstream systems for integrated execution; update data driven frameworks with automation scripts created using Core Java and Python; create .SQL scripts for data reconciliation between source and target system; and address defects encountered in various SDLC stages such as production, UAT & SIT.
Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer/Management Information Systems. Foreign educational equivalent accepted. Willing to accept a suitable combination of education and experience -- foreign bachelor's degree + 3 years of experience as software developer, systems analyst, programmer, etc. that equates to at least a bachelor of science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology of Computer/Management Information Systems from an accredited university in the United States. One (1) year of experience as Software Developer, Systems Analyst, Programmer, or related position.
Worksite: 11 Times Square, New York, NY - 10036. Exact worksite location not known at this time but will report to and will be paid out of headquarters office in New York.
