Senior Service Designer

Our Challenge

As a Senior Service Designer, you’ll have an opportunity to drive change in Financial Services. We need passionate, design-thinking coaches with a high degree of understanding of other disciplines within the digital space. By being a strategic and empathic thinker, you will craft services based on deep, human-center-design practices and be active in various projects streams which will range from stakeholder workshops to research and service definition. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of designers and experts to design systems at scale and create solutions that modernize legacy processes, improve the user experience of internal systems and tools, centralize data and information to allow for better task management, and reduce the time/effort/error-rate of internal processes.

Responsibilties

  • Take a collaborative approach between teams, delivering digital output of the highest quality 
  • Lead research on both qualitative and quantitative methods 
  • Work with stakeholders to extract requirements and coach on design thinking 
  • Synthesize research into tangible outputs played back in a consumable manner 
  • Articulate and present creative ideas to teams and clients 
  • Maintain high standards and ensure only the best work is released  
  • Work closely with senior staff to improve your skills in all areas of digital 

Requirements

You are:

  • Equipped with over 6+ years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Experienced in the planning and execution of service design outputs: blueprint mapping, journey mapping, flows, personas, empathy maps, stakeholder maps, and more 
  • Innovative and able to come up with ideas about how to maintain the integrity of a product across distances and the best channels to communicate something new to an audience 
  • Systematic with a natural ability to zoom out to see the big picture, then dive into the important details; you get a lot of pleasure in seeing projects through 
  • Passionate about growing people-first services – from value proposition to brand to customer experience to scale, you thrive in putting all of the pieces together 
  • Passionate about social impact, financial services, and great design 
  • Able to easily communicate and envision service concepts and ideas to team members, partners, and the business; you use a diverse set of methods & tools that illustrate all the components and touchpoints of the service 
  • Able to showcase designs and experience of launched services that have been implemented in the real world 
  • An expert in design thinking/human-centered design 
  • Highly knowledgeable and experienced in a relevant service design discipline (Systems Design, Business Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design) 
  • Able to work within a self-directed culture and navigate ambiguity
