Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Architect/Tech Lead to help deliver innovative Data & Analytics solutions by taking a leadership role on our Synechron Data & Analytics team. You’ll guide the implementation of solutions within the cloud and serve as an advisor to internal and external teams through thought leadership, coaching, and more. It’s important that you can communicate technical topics to both technical and non-technical teams, as you’ll be collaborating closely with both across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Design overall architecture and guide end-to-end implementation of Data & Analytics solutions within the Cloud (from data ingestion through visualization)
  • Be a trusted advisor and thought leader to stakeholders to advise and guide them in defining their data & analytics strategies, data architecture and cost management
  • Be a senior sparring partner for external and internal delivery teams within a large-scale and complex project environment
  • Lead a team of on and offshore (data) engineers and consultants in designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable data analytics solutions
  • Communicate complex technical topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders using both written and verbal communication skills
  • Drive the creation of Cloud-based Data & Analytics propositions and support in selling solutions to (new) clients
  • Guide and coach junior and mid-level team members inside and outside project to develop required skills and advance in their careers
     

Requirements

You are:

  • Equipped with 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture and Solution Design, including 3+ years of Cloud Data Architect experience
  • Knowledgeable in, and have project experience with, at least 2 major cloud providers including AWS and integrating relevant Cloud-based components
  • Equipped with 5+ years of experience in successfully delivering Data & Analytics projects including leading DEV teams, mentoring, and reviewing code & documentation
  • Able to translate business challenges into Data Analytics solutions
  • Equipped with 3+ years of experience in ETL/ELT, including experience in programming (e.g., Python), orchestration tooling, logging & monitoring, automated testing & deployment (CI/CD) and troubleshooting
  • Able to demonstrate experience with ER & Dimensional modelling and BI & Data visualization
  • Knowledgeable in and experienced with advanced analytics solutions using Data Science, Machine Learning and AI techniques
  • Experienced in working across the entire Data & Analytics lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment and documentation
  • A graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree (a must!) but preferably Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field
