In this role as a Murex Front Office/Risk SME, you will have the opportunity to leverage your vision and aspirations to influence the already strong values, culture and services as we strive to grow in order to become a unique and refreshing player in the Murex space. You should be comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of projects, have an analytical mindset, and be ready to learn. An understanding of several asset classes, Murex database knowledge, and experience with derivatives will help you succeed in this role. 

We are looking for a range of experience levels from 3 years upwards and hiring at levels from Associate to Director. If you don’t have all the skills below, please get in touch - we can work together on your journey of development. 

Requirements

You are:

  • Equipped with exposure to 2 or more asset classes (FI, FX, Equities, Credit, Commodities)  
  • An expert in understanding curve construction, rate curve assignments and other market data including historical data/fixings 
  • Experienced with derivatives such as options and external pricing models 
  • Able to dissect, explain and solve PL/Risk in Simulation, PLVAR and VaR 
  • Equipped with a history of configuring, validating, and releasing a Murex element, such as a generator (bond, swap etc.), to production using a structured release process 
  • Knowledgeable of the Murex database, the various classes of reporting, and system processes such as netting, purge and EOD 
  • Knowledgeable of pricing templates, Pre-trade rules, OSP, MxML Exchange for debugging purposes and Realtime modules 
  • Comfortable with analysis, solution design, PoCs, and all stages of testing, taking ownership end-to-end 
  • Inquisitive and analytical in your approach, with enthusiasm to learn perpetually 
  • For senior hires, experienced in leading streams, projects or programmes and an entrepreneurial spirit for client account management 
  • Confident in guiding your client and team to the best outcomes, following the Synechron core values of client centricity, agility, excellence and putting people first
