You will be working in the Synechron Data Practice in Amsterdam. Our Data Practice assists our clients in solving complex operational and data-related challenges and blends methodologies and expertise in the field of Financial Services and Data Management from offices in Europe, North America, APAC and UK.

Responsibilities

As a Manager Data Management, you’ll be working within the Data Management domain (e.g. Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, Regulatory and Client Reporting, Metadata, Master and Reference Data Management, etc.)

As member of our Amsterdam Data Practice, you will work closely with top-tier Financial Institutions (Asset Managers, Retail Banks and Insurance Firms) in the Netherlands and provide advisory services on multi-disciplinary domains, such as:  

  • Data Management frameworks – DAMA, DCAM, COBIT, BCBS239, etc.  
  • Data Management methodologies – Maturity assessment, gap analysis, roadmap to maturity and strategic deliverables (e.g. Governance policy, organizational models, processes, roles and responsibilities, Data Quality guidelines design, implementation and execution, etc.)  
  • Project Management – Structure joint business plans or account plans for key customer accounts and keep track of progress while helping transform growth curves; also, lead a team of consultants and be responsible for learning/professional growth (especially the latter) 
  • Business Case: Analyze market forces at work (Regulatory, Internal and External) and develop business cases (e.g. Data Spending, AI for Issue Detection, Regulatory Reporting, etc.) in order to share insights with customers and participate in industry events and conferences  

Requirements

You are:

  • Highly experienced (with a minimum of 5 years) in or working within the financial services industry  
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks, methodologies, processes and how to implement them  
  • Experienced with data management and BI tooling (e.g. Collibra, Informatica, InfoSphere, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)  
  • Experienced with strategically growing and maintaining complex, high-value accounts  
  • Experienced in building relationships with directors and C-levels stakeholders by developing a deep understanding of the customer business and driving data-driven insights  
  • An excellent communicator in English and intermediate Dutch level  

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience in consulting and business transformation projects
