Our Challenge

As a Java Architect, you will be collaborating directly with senior-level management on software architecture, tech stack selections, DevOps strategies, and test automation approaches. You’ll work on developing proposals and pitch decks regarding these topics as well as sharing best practices with your team. You should be attentive to detail and highly experienced in software engineering, cloud platforms, and databases like Oracle. 

Responsibilties

  • Share best practices from prior work experiences and other engagements 
  • Develop proposals around solution architecture, pitch decks, estimating solution effort, resourcing, and timelines 

Requirements

You are:

  • A software development/consulting expert with over 15+ years of experience 
  • Able to advise senior-level leaders (CTO/Chief Architect level) on software architectures, technology stack selections, DevOps tools and strategy, test automation approaches, etc. 
  • Able to review enterprise application portfolios and be able to provide application rationalization, modernization strategies, and future roadmaps 
  • Willing to be proactive and hands-on  
  • Attentive to detail such as in code reviews, identifying vulnerabilities in the code/infrastructure, troubleshooting and fixing issues in applications 
  • Equipped with strong software engineering expertise with experience in building products/platforms for large enterprises or software companies 
  • Expert in modern application architectures and full stack solutions, particularly in areas of application development, web and mobile platforms 
  • Equipped with in-depth experience in developing applications with either Java/J2EE tech stack and databases such as Oracle, MySQL, etc. 
  • Experienced with DevOps CI/CD pipeline, Test Automation tools and processes 
  • Experienced with containerization-related management stacks like Kubernetes 
  • Highly experienced with application architecture capabilities, with at least one of the major cloud providers such as Amazon AWS or MS Azure 
  • Experienced with cloud native architectures, microservices, and serverless architectures 
  • Understanding of microservice architectures, principles, and patterns
