Integration Developer (Node JS)

Our Challenge

As a Node.js Developer, you will create scalable and efficient services which securely facilitate the transfer of data between user inputs and backend components/systems. You will be responsible for creating unit tests to ensure that vital functionality of designs is being met and should possesses excellent communication skills to interact with backend and frontend developers.

Responsibilties

  • Work with other team members such as front-end developers and core systems
  • Write adequate test suites to ensure all functionality originally outlined by the design is being met
  • Ensure server-side code is correctly interfacing with databases/downstream systems 
  • Ensure the code written is extremely robust and able to provide high performance to the end user
  • Effectively research and benchmark technology against other best in class technologies
  • Ensure quality of technical and application architecture and design of systems across the organization 

Requirements

You are:

  • Equipped with practical experience with GraphQL
  • Well-versed with CI/CD principles, and actively involved in solving, troubleshooting issues in distributed services ecosystem  
  • Understanding of containerization and experienced in Dockers, Kubernetes
  • Exposed to API gateway integrations like 3Scale
  • Understanding of Single-Sign-on or token-based authentication (Rest, JWT, oAuth) 
  • An expert in task/message queues include but not limited to: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Pushpin and Kafka 
  • The ability to problem-solve and think critically 
  • An expert in JavaScript
  • Equipped with at least 5 years of coding experience in NodeJS, JavaScript and Databases., with at least 1 year hands-on experience in TypeScript
  • Highly knowledgeable in developing scalable and highly available Restful APIs using NodeJS technologies 
  • Experienced in Coding, Security, Unit testing and Documentation standards and best practices 
  • Experienced in Agile methodology 
  • Equipped with hands-on experience in performance tuning, debugging, monitoring 
  • Able to interact with and present ideas to senior and executive management; should have strong interpersonal skills 
  • Able to influence multiple teams on technical considerations, increasing their productivity and effectiveness, by sharing deep knowledge and experience
  • A self-motivator and self-starter, with the ability to own and drive things without supervision and work collaboratively with teams across the organization

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience in the Banking, Financial and FinTech domains in an enterprise environment
