Integration Developer (Java Microservices)

Our Challenge

As a Java Microservices Developer, you should be able to design and implement enterprise-level microservices using the spring boot framework. You will need to be highly proficient in Java and understand the different components of the spring boot framework and where to use them.


  • Liaise with fellow developers in designing and implementing microservices which use the spring boot framework designed in-house  
  • Work in compliance with the standards and practices  
  • Connect microservices to interact with databases and other downstream systems 
  • Understand how streaming technologies work (such as Kafka) 
  • Identify and find solutions to bugs and implementation; easy debugging and problem resolution 
  • Ensure you have adequate developer test cases to verify design requirements
  • Create well-written documentation for the individual microservices and have it in the repository 
  • Maintain high standards and ensure only the best work is released  
  • Ensure quality of technical/application architecture and design of systems across the organization
  • Effectively research and benchmark technology against other best in class technologies


You are:

  • Able to think critically and problem-solve
  • Highly knowledgeable in the Spring boot framework
  • Knowledgeable in the programming language Java
  • Understanding of event-driven design
  • Equipped with a minimum of 5 years of development and design experience in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
  • Experienced in performance tuning, debugging, monitoring  
  • Understanding of containerization, experienced in Dockers, Kubernetes
  • Equipped with extensive coding experience with SOLID principles, Event Driven Architecture, Spring boot, MongoDB, Spring Cloud, Hibernate and have passion for coding 
  • Experienced with cloud design patterns and their implementation
  • Well-versed with CI/CD principles, and actively involved in solving, troubleshooting issues in distributed services ecosystem  
  • Familiar with Distributed services resiliency and monitoring in a production environment
  • Exposed to API gateway integrations like 3Scale
  • Experienced in Agile methodology

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience in the Banking, Financial and FinTech domains in an enterprise environment
