Data Engineer (Informatica BDM)

Our Challenge

As an Informatica BDM Developer, you will be responsible for loading and testing available data, analyzing data warehousing systems, and overseeing the resolution of any issues that may arise and providing solutions for them. You should be able to develop data warehousing systems by using Informatica tools and smoothly integrate these warehousing systems with an organization or company’s existing systems and troubleshoot and debug any issues, while ensuring that the requirements for all the processes have been met and regular quality checks on the stored data occur.


  • Handle proper data storage for a company or organization 
  • Use Informatica software to design and maintain data storage systems 
  • Assess the data requirements that a company may have 
  • Load and test available data  
  • Analyze data warehousing systems 
  • Resolve and provide solutions to any issues that may arrive 
  • Create proper technical documentation outlining the entire process 
  • Develop data warehousing systems by using Informatica tools 
  • Integrate warehousing systems with an organization or company’s existing systems 
  • Troubleshoot and debug any issues while integrating 
  • Ensure that the requirements for all the processes have been met  
  • Conduct quality checks on the stored data on a regular basis 
  • Effectively research and benchmark technology against other best in class technologies. 
  • Provide impact analysis whenever there are any changes and production events happen that may affect MDM 
  • Work with Data Mapper and Data modeler to define the dataflow and implement the ETL to fulfil the requirement 


You are:

  • A postgraduate with a degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent industry experience) 
  • Equipped with at least 5 years of solid experience with Informatica PowerCenter development and related components technologies IDD, IDQ, IDC, ActiveVos, version 9 and above. 
  • Experienced in working on Oracle 11g 12c SQL PLSQL and Informatica ETL technologies 
  • Experienced in Linux shell scripting borne or c shell 
  • Experienced in Agile methodology
  • Equipped with strong analytical skills and the ability to evolve in a complex and diverse technical environment 
  • Experienced in building complex SQL queries and Shell scripting 
  • A self-motivator and self-starter with the ability to own and drive things without supervision and work collaboratively with teams across the organization

It would be great if you also had:

Experience in the Banking, Financial and FinTech industries in an enterprise environment
