Consultant Data Management

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Overview

As a Consultant Data Management, you will join the Synechron Data practice in Amsterdam and work with very ambitious fellow Synechronites and learn from senior colleagues. You will help our clients become data-driven organizations by combining business consulting and technology capabilities. From your first day, you will be work on delivering practical solutions around Data Management (e.g., Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, etc.). Our Data Practice assists our clients in solving complex operational and data-related challenges and blends methodologies and expertise in the field of Financial Services and Data Management. We collaborate with Synechron colleagues from offices in Europe, North America, APAC and UK. We are a young dynamic and agile team that is expanding. For instance, projects we work on include:

  • Data Spending: Asset Management firms spend heavily on Customer and Market Data. Due to poor central data governance, firms use this data inefficiently and have high costs. As a solution, we implement Data Governance around data spending through structural improvements (e.g., Data Platform). This allows firms to gain control, reduce costs and optimize spending, in turn increasing competitiveness and returns for clients.
  • Data for Fraud Detection & Prevention: With the increasing integration and speed of the financial industry, detecting fraud has become a major challenge for financial institutions. To address this, data has become the best asset for fraud detection. Through data analysis, implementation of data analytics and enhancement of data quality, financial institutions can now detect fraud more accurately and in real time.
  • Data Management for Financial & Risk Analysis: Financial institutions require (real time) robust insights into their financial and risk performance. With data analytics, firms can gain faster insights into their risk and financial performance indicators. Furthermore, by implementing solid data management capabilities, firms will be able to improve data quality, maintain it, and produce reliable results.
