Our Challenge

As a C++ Developer, you will use your client-focused and proactive approach, alongside your strong Unix/Linux skills, to help support business requirements presented to you. You should be comfortable in taking ownership in projects and working in a fast-paced environment. While not required, previous experience in the financial services industry and an understanding of finance-related protocols and technologies will be helpful.

  • Be proactive in learning about the business as well as the overall system outside your direct responsibilities 
  • Systematically problem-solving, while maintaining a sense of ownership and drive

Requirements

You are:

  • A graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science, or equivalent degree (can also have equivalent experience) 
  • A strong team-player with an entrepreneurial approach who is creative and able to push the boundaries while managing risk appropriately 
  • Equipped with strong C++ skills 
  • Highly experienced in Unix/Linux  
  • Able to understand multi-threaded programming and asynchronous concepts 
  • Experienced in working with complex frameworks and distributed environments 
  • Experienced with the complete software development lifecycle 
  • Equipped with strong debugging skills 
  • Understanding of design patterns 
  • Able to collaborate in a team environment, e.g., participation in design sessions, strong communication skills 

It would be great if you also had:

  • Exposure to the financial services industry, especially Sales & Trading systems  
  • Awareness of finance-related protocols and technologies, e.g., real time market data, FIX protocol 
  • Knowledge of Python
  • SOAP, XML, and RestAPI experience  
  • An understanding of equity market structure, regulatory rules, etc.
