- A European Tier 1 bank was facing increased business pressure to enable the adoption of public cloud services (e.g. for increasing compute requirements for Monte Carlo grid simulations)
- The bank needed to overhaul its governance processes, policies, and internal controls to cater for the cloud model

- Synechron built a new executive governance forum specifically for cloud that integrated into the existing mature IT and Risk governance structures
- We then embedded the Synechron cloud controls objectives into the bank’s central controls catalogue providing them a complete perspective of the shared cloud responsibility model oriented around ISO 27000 series
- Given the tough and prescriptive nature of Singapore MAS’ TRM guidelines, we agreed with the prepare the new GRC solution with a deployment of the grid solution with a public cloud provider in Singapore

Client successfully deployed dev and then production application instances in the public cloud and was compliant with MAS and other global regulators.
