Consulting on the Next Generation of Robots: Cognitive Robotic Process Automation

A large international bank sought to determine the potential business uses of and overall strategy for implementing the next generation of Robotics Process Automation -- Cognitive Robotic Process Automation (CRPA) -- for processing semi-unstructured data.

This bank asked Synechron to prepare and initiate the implementation of CRPA as a service for all bank entities. Synechron was engaged to define the requirements, define use cases, and determine business cases (benefits, change costs, run costs), perform a vendor analysis/selection and define/perform multiple proof of concepts for the implementation.


Synechron provided in-depth consultation with the bank for CRPA strategies and uses, and then:

  • Initiated implementation for CRPA as a service
  • Consulted on the cross-bank set-up of a global Center of Excellence for CRPA
  • Conveyed research on CRPA trends and possibilities
  • Advised on CRPA tool selection
  • Developed/monitored execution of the use cases and global plan
  • Advised on global CRPA risks and managed risk mitigation actions
  • Performed CRPA use case discovery for local bank entities
